Did you use silicone to seal the edges of the shower enclosure?

I was wondering if the edges between the glass and the tile are sealed on this enclosure? What was the clearance between the glass and the walls? 1/8"? I am putting a very similar custom glass enclosure in my bathroom, and I'm trying to figure out if it is proper to seal the edges/joints with silicone.
