The floors are trowel finish concrete with saw cut joints - no color or stain was added.

We typically specify a matte finish low V.O.C. concrete sealer and let the contractor select their favorite brand and product. In this case I'm not sure what product was ultimately used.

do the floors have radiant heat? I'm use to heating my house with a wood stove and can do so efficiently because its a two story home. How does the wood heat in this beautiful home move laterally - a fan?
