I am not so sure levers are easier to use on interior doors. Levers are easier to use on faucets however.

Levers can be an issue for catching on clothing. They can be difficult for seniors with long throw distances (wrist pain). This is why they offer 28 degree throw distances.

Knobs are not handed. The mushroom shape is the most comfortable and most classic. Round rosettes don't require alignment.

Levers have a look which can harmonize with modern or contemporary interiors.

Mounting height can be an issue for small children or handicapped persons.

I think the knob choice would look good in your situation but not as sure about satin nickel.

Can you let me know what you chose and how they look? I am redoing a 1954 california ranch and I actually picked the same doors and I am trying to figure out door knobs. Any suggestions/recommendations appreciated!

Hi there - despite the fact that levers may be easier, we went with the Emtek Norwich knobs in satin nickel with an #8 Rosette. You can go to the Emtek website to see them. I am thrilled with them as they had a more classic touch to the 50s house.

I love them and great choice! If not asking too much, would you mind taking a photo of one of your doors with the knobs? I purchased the same doors in white. Also, I really like the brushed nickle finish you choose. I think I am going with polished chrome in the bathroom. Any feedback if the polished chrome would look funny with the polished nickle or did you go for a satin finish on your kitchen and bathroom hardware? Sorry for all the questions, but sounds like you are a few months ahead of where I am and would love feedback!
