Flooring

Hi. We bought the house next door to our main house - it's a 125 year old "girl" that needs a lot of care and things to bring back her charm. Just last night the crew took up the disgusting plywood covering the original sub floor in prep for cement board and tile. Well... I just went over there this morning in the rain with my coffee and just couldn't believe how much charm it brings the house even in its dirty, need repair state that's it's in. I got back here and quickly got on Houzz and saw your green floor. You mentioned you love it but I was wondering what it's like living with it in the kitchen? Do you have to be careful with spills and stuff or is it the opposite? If you respond and are curious I can attach a photo of the area. I just want to connect with someone that can appreciate old plank wood floors I guess. Thanks and Happy Halloween.
