So, he suggested that you conduct your own research...and you took inappropriate and unnecessary offence to his comment - just as you will likely do to my comment as well. You of course are welcome to ask for info but if you are looking for DIY cabinet finishing info, look for a woodworking or finishing site. What is unwelcome is rude behavior to those who are giving you their best, honest opinion about how to get your project finished.

Professionals are people with a business to run...they have projects and they finish those projects...they aren't into doing things themselves for the sake of being able to save a few bucks or saying they did it themselves...they are in the business of making sure projects get done and that usually means calling people with the tools, knowledge and experience and then paying them to get the job done and move on to the next job.
