It looks like you have the clearances. You could use a glass half-panel on the side where the shower is installed.

Can you show a picture of the faucet end of the tub? That would determine if you could do it simply or need a plumber.

Thank you. We don't have standing room. I am 5'6 and I would have to arch my neck! Not good. What about a skylight, tile ceiling to floor and glass panel. The other idea I had was to take the tub out completely and tile in a long shower space with a seat with glass panels.

Do you have another tub in the house? If so, then taking it out for a full-size shower makes sense. Otherwise, i wouldn't take out the tub.

If you rearrange the fixtures in the room, you have several options. Right now, it appears that your tub is in the least favorable spot.
