If you are building, you have options. You could talk to the cabinet provider and get assistance with creating a "charging drawer" where things are placed out of sight, but it has electrical. Could also be done somewhere in the space with the equivalent of an appliance garage.

I am concerned that if the items are out of sight they may be left behind. So I'm wondering about a glass top drawer. Thanks for your thoughts.

How do your adult children charge their devices now while keeping the kids away?

My adult kids keep their devices on their kitchen counters. I'm trying to avoid the clutter since it could be 5 ipads and several cell phones.

How about some sort of picture rail installed just below the outlets? Make sure you put in outlets that have USB ports.
