The stone is a Pennsylvania Bluestone (Blue/Blue color). The lower portion of the fireplace surround are slabs with a thermal finish. The upper portion is a thin veneer snapped face stacked stone. They are both sourced from Diaz Stone and Pallet in Penn. It's a great stone for a good price.

Beautiful design! Is the upper portion of the fireplace a natural stone or a manufactured stone? If natural, how did the installer finish up the corner edges so they are not sharp and jagged?

Thank you Cheryl. The entire fireplace is clad in natural Pennsylvania Bluestone. The lower portion in slabs and the upper portion in a snapped face thin veneer. The corners are 90 degree pieces which convey the sense of a thicker stone. They are 'jagged' and do not create a uniform edge. But that's the beauty of a natural material.
