Hi everyone, we are getting ready to cover our fireplace with stone, see attached picture. We used to have ugly granite and a mirror there; we removed and now we only have drywall and a pretty modern brown fireplace door. The stone is light beige, see picture. Now my question is, do you think it will look good with no mantel, just stone from top to bottom and the sides of the fireplace? Or should we install a mantel? Our style is modern, I included some pictures of the rest of the living room. I appreciate your ideas! Thank you!
