Need help choosing a exterior finish for our addition

We are looking for help deciding what to do for our exterior finish for our addition that includes an attached garage and mudroom. Our house is brick with a little bit of siding in the porch roof. Ideally we would love to find the brick we currently have but we understand it is going to be very difficult finding in since the house was built in the early 80s. Judging from the pics, what would you do with the exterior finish? We are really trying to make it not look like an addition. In case you were wondering and in a chance that someone has a few pallets of brick laying around, the brick color is Pecos from Glen Gery.

Personally, I would not try to match the brick because I think it is extremely unlikely that you will be able to do so effectively. In addition to that, it looks like you are doubling the size of the facade and will have very large uninterrupted expanses. If it were my project, I think I would use siding for the new part, and change out the existing siding to match it if necessary. Does the new addition have no windows?

The front elevation has 2 10 foot wide doors and a man door. The side elevation of the garage does not reflect the 2 windows and man door. We are mainly concerned about the front. We already decided on siding for the side and rear of the addition. How difficult would it be to reclaim the brick that we will be tearing down? If my calculations are correct, It should be enough to cover the front minus the gable of the garage where we could put siding.

I see. There is a long tradition of re-using brick. Ask your contractor about the costs involved. It will certainly be ecologically preferable not to dump a lot of material into a landfill. The additional labor may make it no less expensive.

I will be doing all the reclaiming myself if we would choose to reclaim the brick. Not sure of the best way to go about it though. I assume a masonry chisel and a hammer. Bout would a rubber or plastic mallet work better?

I like the idea of using the reclaimed brick, but perhaps add it back in through a modern way such as wainscoting on the lower portion of the addition. Then change your existing siding to match the new...earthy tones.
