Boy, do I have a lot to say about this….I spent a lot for my kitchen cabs…a lot. In my laundry room, I installed full overlay Kraftmaid…unfinished as I wanted to paint them a soft muslin yellow. Not expensive at all.

I am so disappointed with my $$$ cabs…actually, I hate them. Finish is awful.

This is one of the larger cabinets company so there shouldn't be major issues with design and quality.

We've bought a lot of cabinets from Kraftmaid over the years. We've done better dealing with one of their dealers vs the box stores. They have some really nice finishes and options-we always go for the plywood sides option when we've bought from them. Good luck!

My Kraftmaid painted cabinets have buckled, flaked, and peeled. Kraftmaid says this is normal.

I saw a recently finished kitchen done with Kraftmaid and then 4 kitchens with custom cabinets. All were straight shaker style. All with drawers. I would never go with the Kraftmaid. The gaps in doors and gaps between drawers and fillers needed would drive me crazy.
