I just got this rug and am not sure if I should keep it or return

I am now finishing my family room please help me with the rug
I just bought this rug yesterday but am not too sure if I should keep it or return as my open concept is white kitchen grey backsplash and light grey tiles in the kitchen. The sofa is staying tan colour
Please provide your comments if I should change this rug or buy something with squares on the tug eg dynamic rugs 7805-717

I like it! But if you are second guessing yourself it probably means that you can find something you would like better

Thanks I was just wondering as it has animal pattern and the kitchen has squares and not sure if animal pattern and squares in the kitchen goes together or should I get a rug with more colour pop

I think it coordinates very well with the kitchen. You might put color accents in accessories, such as throw pillows, art and lamps, drapes, etc. You have the "bones" of the room, now you add the dressing.

Interesting that you think it has an animal pattern, from here I see a wood grain... which I rather like... I also think the colours go well and the "grain" pattern in the carpet echos your floor tiles which seem to have some grain to them

Ok great I guess u read my mind because of the grains in the tiles I got the rug and then I asked a friend and she said I should have some rectangles and squares to go with the backsplash thanks a lot for your comment I think I will keep it and look for colour accents any suggestions?

Where did you find that rug? I like it a lot and have the same 'bones' of a room (tans/browns/creams) and think this rug would look nice. I'm accenting around the room with a few things in a bold accent color. I like the bold wood grain effect this rug comes across with.

Ok thanks I have decided to keep it with all positive comments I have to look for accent painting and cushions to go with.
I got the rug from homesense it's made by dynamicrugs and can be ordered online from USA

I like it. Maybe pull accent colors from the tiles?

I thought it was a wood grain pattern too! I found a rug that looked like the concentric rings in a tree stump. I gave my husband very obvious hints that I wanted it and he didn't bite. Oh, well. Lol. Enjoy your new rug!

I like the rug selection and agree it looks like wood grain, which is trending now. However I feel both spaces are lacking color and it doesn't coordinate the rooms.
