Will this room be used just for TV watching, or will you entertain in here too? What would be the maximum number of people you would need to seat?

ok we got the white leather sectional and positioned in front of the TV. Looks fresh and modern! Plus looks great with the Christmas tree! Great family and entertaining space!

Lindt white chocolate is very nice and would go with the white sectional and walls.

Kelly, is your photo a jpeg format? It needs to be.
And although they sound a bit silly, in fact they are a bit silly but in a very good way :-), chookchook and mforr are right about the chocolate going well with the white sectional. You could keep to all kinds of different white colours, but dark chocolate is a good option too. Think of chocolate mousse with whipped cream... yummy :-) And maybe a tiny touch of red, like a strawberry on the cream?

It's a family room so we probably don't need to match a good port or whiskey? Two different schemes, those.

Is there any way you would consider the tv on the back wall? It is very high over the fireplace and takes away from the fireplace as a focal point. It looks awkward tilted forward. A big, black boring box up there, when you could have a spectacular piece of art.

Just plug an SD card into the tv. Then you can have all the spectacular art you want.

That is an option, but tv is still tillted and too high for viewing.

Not unless you are sitting at attention and balancing a book on your head. Put your feet up and relax a bit. Maybe get an ottoman and furniture to recline in.

Some people love tv's over fireplaces and if that is what the homeowner wants, so be it.

I see a large black box over a large black box, no texture. Turn on fp and tv at the same time and not a good situation for the eyes.

I thought the question was where to place the NEW furniture?
