Thank you for your inquiry! The length from the wall in the kitchen to the living room is 26'. Just the living room dimensions are 14' by 24".

where does the 14' start from? The end of the island and did you feel like the 14' was enough space?

Thanks for the question Emily. The 14' measurement is from the wall that the sofa faces and a (sort of) invisible separation of the kitchen and living room. We chose to measure the middle distance between the island and the sofa. We did feel like the 14' was enough space based on accessibility of moving around the space with the furniture. Usually when we choose furnishings, we always keep in mind the space we are working with and will make a lot of our decisions based on that size. Most of the furnishings we have a custom made and therefore makes it easy for us to choose a custom size also.
