I am building a new house. The front entry will have a porch with a natural stone face near the door and stone steps. The craftsman door will be painted a deep red. I am thinking of black hardware for the door and lamp. I have discovered that aged bronze is the most popular metal. Is black hardware still in style? How does the bronze age in appearance? I am not sure if worn orange or brass tones create the look I desire on the front door. Is there a dark bronze that doesn't show wear like the oil rubbed bronze? Am I making a mistake if I select the black hardware? I have always liked it.
