I agree. It looks lavender to me as well (it's supposed to look greyish). Have any other colors that you think might work with this space?

If you're going for a grey, I just painted my house with CIL Granite Grey and it's great! Try that maybe?

Actually the color is quite striking. Yes, it is romantic and will appear to change color as well as mood dependent upon the window treatment, art work & any trim. As your screen name indicates a love of deco you might try granite/silvery grey to harmonize the palette. Good luck and trust your instinct...I'm looking forward to seeing the completed concept.
