shower with no threshold

What system did you use to create the no threshold for the shower so it is a smooth entrance with no step and what door system keeps the water inside? Thank you

    Denny - good comments about the wet room. These types of rooms are very popular in Europe and Asia where space is limited. One system we use and supply is called Tuff Form and the base (it's actually called a former) is put directly on the floor joists to make one level room. Then the room is waterproofed. I'll put a link below to find more information about this and also a couple of images (one image shows the finished system and the other images show the base and also the wet room waterproofing kit.

      This is a "Wet Room" and at approximately 1800 wide, it does not have a door. It has a simple screen. The shower area has a special screed/membrane which acts like a traditional shower tray and the shower screen fits down into a channel with a clear silicone seal.

      Indeed, we use this type of system regularly, however, it's important to get a good fall on the floor especially if you have a smaller bathroom.
