I stand corrected. It's called "honed" finish. :)

Craftsman is wonderful! I did have granite counters in a very similar style and color. They were very porous and were difficult to keep clean with real use. If you are a serious cook (or if there is one in the house) I might suggest corian or Zodiaq. I have seen some amazing counters by both in craftsman homes and they have turned out really beautiful.

beautiful slab of granite .. lots of movement .. not very white if you are looking for white. Would look gorgeous on a gray cabinet.

Talk to the granite company regarding the maintenance requirements. As long as they can seal it, it is a terrific option. I rented a home with a black honed granite. Loved it!

I would be concerned about staining, especially oil stains, on a honed granite counter. They are pretty though.

Our experience with honed (matte) finish granite is completely positive, no problems at all. Agree, that is a beautiful slab!
