What is the pool coping and deck material? Does it get hot? Does it need to be sealed? Beautiful design and execution!!

It's a porcelain tile. We sourced it from Emser Tile in Los Angeles. It doesn't get too hot and it has a little texture to keep it from getting too slippery.

Thank you, as a designer and builder of pools and landscapes in NJ, always looking for new options and materials to work with. I wonder if it can preform with the extreme swings we have in temperature (especially when we go below freezing).
How thick is the material in this project, along with the solid base below it?
Do you find it to be a material that is on the higher end of cost ( product and installed ) or is it a competitive option with other select materials you have used?

Thank you very much for sharing!!
