A blue/gray. Would work with your art work. Benjamin Moore carries nice ones.

I'd think you would want a light blue/gray. You don't want the blue in your artwork to disappear into the wall.

I agree that grey would be pretty nice. Benjamin Moore's Revere Pewter is a really popular choice for good reason. It's not too cool and it's not got any pink undertones that some "greiges" do...just the right mixture of beige and grey.

Just curious, is this your artwork? Beautiful, but I think it needs to be spaced differently.

They are beautiful, but I would rearrange them. i think they are off balance.

I bought these pictures from the photographer in Jeffrey's Bay (Eastern Cape) and just mounted them. ( Husband is a surfer)

While the photos are beautiful, they do not present well in this space. I would move them to another wall in your home. Perhaps a hallway or other "lone" area.

This space could use a deeper color ... is there an area rug in the room? Could you post a few more pics of this room?

The art is lovely! I agree, it would be helpful to see more of the space. You can take one of the pieces of art with you when you pick out a paint color to make sure it compliments too.

I think you are doing the art a disservice by hanging them together on one wall. Why not hang them more in gallery style to really appreciate each one. I would choose a darker blue for the wall so the art pops, maybe the really dark blue in the center of the paintings on the left.

I would suggest painting only this wall to highlight the art. Use muted orange so that it acts like a canvas and arrange the art on this section only. It would have a layered look.

Thought this quick board might help. I re-arranged the pictures and selected some colors from Farrow & Ball. The colors are, left to right, top to bottom: cord, dovetail, cat’s paw, brassica, your original, pavillion gray, red earth, raddichio, incarnadine.

Wow, thanks for the comments, you are all very helpful and have given me a lot to consider. Unfortunately I am not a good 'decorator, it doesn't come easy to me so thank goodness for you guys and gals. Was wondering whether you managed to find a similar paint here in South Africa to Benjamin Moore. I love the colour 'Vintage Pewter' and was hoping you may have already found similar paint.
