Space saving

To maintain the aspect of saving space a sliding door might be a great addition to this laundry area to keep the door from opening into the other space.

Could be but there also may be mechanicals in the way and pocket doors are a bit unruly.

Basin Custom sells sliding door hardware as. Sliding doors are different than pocket doors but preferred by some for a few reasons. If any of the mechanics of a pocket door were to go wrong you would have to tear the wall down but that's not the case with sliding barn doors. Also, you can add a sliding door to an existing opening with little effort and have a beautiful new door that is more space efficient in some areas! We offer a great product. We oversee each order personally to ensure the quality of all of our hardware. Our wheels are extremely quiet and have rubber end stops so you will never hear metal hitting metal. We powder coat all or our hardware so that it is extremely durable and beautiful. Visit our website at http://www.basincustom.com or email, info@basincustom.com
