We are in the process of redesigning our kitchen. Right now, there is a formal dining room next to the kitchen. We want to take down the wall that separates the two rooms to make it feel more open and to get more light into the kitchen. We've taking into consideration a lot of different designs and have decided this is the best layout for our family.

Would you please review the design and provide any suggestions or changes? We really want an island for extra seating and more counter space and storage. With an island we have to leave one wall empty to provide enough room to walk through the kitchen. We currently have the fridge to the right of the sink and the range against the far wall. Would you leave this as is or move the fridge to the far wall?
