When I win the lottery, I will have three homes. A mediterranean style home in Kentucky on sixty acres of land in the country. A luxurious cabin home in the mountains of Tennessee and the third home will be in Destin Florida. I will hire Fratantoni Luxury Estates to build each one of my homes. I love the style of their luxurious house plans and the impeccable interior decorating skills. I will look forward to working with you!

I would stay in the county I live now, and purchase one of the most well known farms in our area. It happens to be for sale now because the husband has since passed away :(

I love it where I am and my little house is just about perfect BUT hubby wants bigger, sooooo, I would go with about a 2000 square foot ranch with a three car attached garage including workspace for hubby, plus one bay has to fit my RV. It would have to be in this neighborhood or maybe a little further south, along the Indian River lagoon. I love big windows with a view and indoor-outdoor connections. There are a few lots that have potential near here.

I am torn. I'd want a place near Warren, PA, one near Asheville, NC, and one near Peewee Valley, KY. But if forced to choose, I'd take Warren PA because it is close to family.

DIYher, I can see why you would love to buy that farm. It's gorgeous!

If I won the lottery, I would buy the 500 acre ranch of late actor Steve McQueen that is located north of Ketchum Idaho. I grew up just south of there, and I don't think I will ever find a place I love more. Fortunately, it's been on the market since last summer, but has gone from $4M to the current price of $7.4M.

Easy. Ocean front Maui, Hawaii for my home base. Then travel the world.

My own island in Greece, barring that, Puerto Rico. Want Mediterranean or warmer climate! Wonder what they'd think of me building my own bale house? ;)

I would keep my sweet little farm in the mountains and make some improvements and then I would just lease different home in places I wanted to visit. No need to own them and have more responsibility.

Hawaii - Big Island - but I would have to have the best private beach I could find. It has all parts of the world for me: hot and cold, tropical, desert, no snakes and other jungle creatures I would dread and a wonderful ocean

San Francisco. With a view on the Golden Gate Bridge and Pacific. Or Pebble Beach. It's the most beautiful landscape I've ever seen. Just for holidays.
But I would not leave my country because of my family, friends and neighbours

Somewhere tropical like Bora Bora or Fiji, Nothing too big maybe 4000sq feet max but would def want enough land space to be able to go jogging around so maybe 2-3 acres, plus land for growing my own organic veggies and fruits and a nice size pool with a beach entry . That's it. I don't get all these millionaires that need to buy 10+ bedroom homes with 10+ bathrooms, what are they planning on renting them out? What's the point of having rooms that aren't used?

Somewhere south like coastal Carolinas or Georgia.

Definately will be purchasing a condo in New York across from Central Park, vacation home in Old San Juan, and a cottage on the water in Ontario.

I'd buy garage first and foremost to house all of cars I've dreamed of flooring on a straightaway... Then I'd invest in a few properties... First I grew up in Jersey/NYC and home is where the heart is so a penthouse in the Lower East End overlooking the Manhattan Skyline would come first, then a house in the mountains of New Hampshire, third a house on the Beaches of PR and Madrid, a ranch in Kentucky and a Primary home in PA north of Philly... I've no intentions of striking it big through the lottery, but I do plan on scoring a hundred big ones!

I like the 3: The house where I am in WA - with all the 1000 things a 1900 house needs fixed - actually repaired; a pad in NYC; and a cabin in a nice neutral country like Switzerland, perhaps near Neuchatel. In this crazy world in which we live, a safe haven is appealing!

I couldn't choose multiple, smaller residences scattered around the world. I'd travel to each one for a bit and work remotely. That sounds like a dream lifestyle :)

I would buy one of the iconic mid century modern homes in Palm Springs as my main home. Then I would also buy an apartment in Ronda, Andelusia, Spain in one of the ancient Moorish buildings...if possible, one right on the ravine of the Guadalevín River.

Of course, I'd also need a mountain cabin somewhere to escape the heat in July and August! I forgot about that. Montana is lovely.

I would probably stay in Northern Colorado, but I would build a neighborhood for my family and best friends. Also, it must have it's own golf course. I mean this is our DREAM home so that is acceptable. With the ultimate English Bulldog area.

I have changed my mind many times through out the years. I no longer want the beach type home. The one that sounds best to me right now would be a farm house with all the character. Along with a large garden with raised beds, some animals (mostly horses with a stable), and mostly a big red barn.

It would be in a log cabin between one of the great lakes and a small inland lake, near a nice small town, and not too far from a small city . . . wait a minute . . . that's where I live now!

Hard to find just one house for this mermaid married to a mountain goat. A small manor home or castle in Wales might fit the bill. More realistic but almost as out of budget would be a tin roofed Texas hill country home of limestone with lots of land and fully equipped pottery studio. A private tropical island would be one vacation home and another Adobe or stone cabin in Santa Fe. and all would be self cleaning lol

On a hilly countryside

On land where I could have horses. dogs and chickens. I would love to have property where I could help homeless dogs; It would have to be in Northern NV or very close to NV. So, my grandchildren could still be watched by me when mom and dad are working.

I wouldn't want anything too big or lavish. I'd have multiple small places, all with amazing views of water and beautiful natural settings, and I'd move with the seasons:

4. Fall in Lake Tahoe

4. Summer in a modern floating home on Lake Union, Seattle

I would have one up around seattle, I don't think it is too high. I would like something in DC or I always did. And a nice farm one, probably in DE. none over about 3000 sq ft, wonderful views, an art studio in each, designed so i can get about the house easily. my hubby wants me to have an oxygen port in every room, but i do not understand how that works. I always wanted mountains, but now i can't live that high. definitely pet friendly the farm would take in unwanted dogs cats horses.

I would have a horse farm in Tryon, NC with a little house with a big area for outdoor living, and a guest house and extra stalls for my friends; a small house or condo on the ocean at Kiawah and a ski house or condo out west at Taos or one of the areas near Salt Lake City. Better go check those lottery tickets I bought on Wednesday.

I would like to have self sufficient ( off grid) beach house with a lot of land, big trees, green house in suburb but close to big city.

My dream place has always been somewhere where I can rescue dogs and cats from high-kill shelters, with plenty of room for the dogs to run and play, an endless supply of money to feed them and give them the vet attention they'd need. I'd like perhaps one or two acres, with a single level home and four car garage. Would also love a get-away in Hawaii, maybe one on each island!

My husband and I would like the same, except a two car garage, and in the area near my children.

Just got back from Italy and I'm ready to go back! Id buy the place I stayed at. An old farmhouse in a small hamlet in the mountains of Tuscany. Or a mountain cabin somewhere in Montana near a fabulous fly fishing stream. Or a yacht in the Caribbean, that I could land a helicopter if needed, and just go from island to island for the rest of my life.

Funny. My grandson just asked me the same question a few days ago. We moved into our dream home just over a year ago so we would stay right here, reno some of the inside, buy the 3 acres of property beside us and make a lake fully stocked with fish and have a rock formation large enough for snowboarding in the winter (grandson's idea). The bulk of it though we would use to help people who would be happy just to have a safe place to rest their head at night

I'd buy a Gamble Rodgers in winter park, Falling Water in Pennsylvania, Boone Hall in SC. After that I'd build some of my own designs and change the world and sell them as spec just because it's so much better doing what you want.
