If you were to build out a new stair with a deeper landing to make maneuvering at the top more comfortable, you can then integrate the sitting area design in with the new stair.

First off, remove that awful latticework!!! Think about painting the window trim to add some depth. I would stain the concrete and add a beefy railing extended off the steps. Could we have more pics of the front of the house, please? It looks nice and clean...

The lattice work will definitely go. We had new Windows put in a year ago which are Fiberglass so painting them isn't an option, and there used to be large Cedars on either side of the bay window which we took out. I'd like to extend the stairs so they go up on a more gradual plane but I'm not sure structurally how this can happen, then there is the roof line.

Maybe the steps could be brought further out beside the garage so you could install a landing in front of the door.

I wish I could do away with the damn porch enclosure! If you could see my beautiful front door you would cry with how hidden it is. At least then we could face the steps in a nice stone and put in a small patio in front of the bay window. I haven't seen a lot of pictures out there of tiny little homes with my current issues. Does everyone out there live in palatial mansions??????

If you have the budget, how about a more generous stoop on top, maybe just a step down from the door, an intermediate level bumped out a little bit toward the window, and a lower level patio at ground level, with room for the table, and perhaps a low wall or screen for a sense of separation and a bit of privacy?

As for the enclosed entrance, perhaps some paint will help. I don't think it is so bad as is with some nicer steps and landscaping maybe a sculpture or yard ornament,, and get rid of or reduce size of the front bush if you can.

I have seen quite a few houses something like this in Germany, and they tend to be rather plain. Could this be Canadian? I agree the trellis isn't right, but maybe a more open version like what your neighbor has could work.

I also am not crazy about the fleshy color with the light brick--something to contrast would look more modern and fresher. If you paint the doorframe white , then you could go with a medium to dark brown, greyed green or maybe even an eggplant type color, or paint the garage door and siding panel dark brown to match and go with a mid tone on the stucco, and tape off a white frame around the entire screened entrance..
