I hate everything about my bedroom and would love some guidance

I have a custom upholstered headboard , custom valence and curtain panels and funky vintage dressers and chest. The night stands are newer and matching. The room is broken up with little closets everywhere( which I had made when the room was gutted, much to my interior designer mother's chagrin). I have 4 small closets cause with windows on 3 of 4 walls , it wasn't possible to make 1 large walk in. I actually gave up one window to enlarge my bathroom and a closet. Anyway, I just dislike this room. I don't wan to get rid of the curtains, carpet, and headboard. They are all relatively new and pricey. Should I just change all the furniture to matching cream colored pieces? What suggestions do you have for bed coverings? Thanks.

Seems like the colors are competing...and I like color. Maybe lose the pink bedspread and go with that darker beige on the headboard....and just use some pillows that keep the pink throughout the room...a soft sage green pillow on the lounge..or beige. Make the green and beige your main color palette with the pink accents...that should help, in expensively...and should make it look a lot richer.

Agreed, take away either the pink-ish or green accent colors.

The room is quite nice. I think all you need is new bedding. Try the cream in your headboard and plain quilt or matelasse coverlet would be nice as there is nice texture. Check out jc penny or a bedding store for that. I would do the bedskirt as well. After that I think your bench would be finr as it looks like matches your valance

Sorry- I tried to cancel this discussion as I have another one with more photos on the same topic. The comforter is not pink , it's cinnamon. But I can certainly do beige, which I had last summer. As a matter of fact, my son is using that comforter as a second blanket on his bed now that he is home for winter break cause its been cold in NY. Please see the other discussion which has many more pix and shows just what else I dislike about the room. Furniture placement is an issue too.
