My counter is seamed (due to the bullnose-edge) so that the stone cuts in at a 45 degree angle for a couple inches - then continues straight to the wall...
...tho if you had a straight edge - you could just butt at the corner without a 45 degree angle at all.

I don't know if I have enough granite to do that corner 45 to 45 by the dishwasher. It seems like his idea is to seam it straight. Again its hard to tell how directional it is. May be an issue maybe not. I guess I have to see it again.....

MIne are seamed straight. I have super long wall, with it making a turn on one end. It is seamed in several places due to having to use several runs...I think it took 4 runs...3 along the main wall and a 4th for the portion that makes the turn. You cannot detect the seams unless you are looking for them. It also depends on the granite...sometimes there is so much movement that the colors can't be matched, but yours looks like it will be quite easy to seam. At first I could see the seam, but the guys weren't finished working the seam glue...they have it colored to match the granite, and used a razor blade to remove all "extra" and again, the seams are barely noticeable. They are necessary in any counter that is longer than the slab they are using.

If I use this huge sheet of this color I found and like I can do it with 2 seams which I like. Just nervous about the 45 dergee movement which maybe isn't really "movement" like you get in some colors and patterns

I agree, If you have enough length in the granite to run the counter to the wall, you would have enough material to continue the L by the dishwasher. The stella verde contains a lot of mica and will change colors (Light to Dark) if you change directions. We have challenges with seams on Blue Pearl and Emerald Pearl for the same reason.

What do you mean I would have enough? I do but it'll be 2 rips so let's say 136" end to wall. And then turn the bottom 136" x 36" from the seam/dishwasher over to the right. Just the one seam. I looked at and liked Volga blue too. Which has very little movement or color change. So are you saying its a problem or I may be ok?

Switching directions on the stella verde is a problem. The reflection on the stella verde will look different if the granite does not flow the same direction. This is due in part to the fact that the large flakes of mica will appear to be a different color when the light is reflected at a different angle. The difference will be most apparent where the upper cabinets are not blocking the light coming in from the window.

UUghhh. My granite guy seems to think its ok. In some aspects I think it would be fine. Sometimes I look at it and think not. I have to go back to the supplier and look at my sheet. Problem is I need like 60ish ft so im right between a large slab and 2 small. Really depends on direction. I could also do Volga blue. But I liked this. Do they call it anything else. I can't seem to find much on Stella verde. Thx marble yard. Appreciate the input.

ok so may consider going with brown antique. i loved the verde but this is a nice stone as well, actually a bit nicer? so this is not directional and could help solve my problems.....thoughts?

I am always looking at resale value when ever I do a remodel/upgrade. I think being brown is a plus since it is a neutral color and will match many tastes. It can be contemporary and it can be traditional. I think it looks great.

just ordered a 2nd slab lol. more seams, but matching direction which in the end i know ill be happier with. u were right marble yard ;)
