@dsl0528, the ProVia 389 has a panel on the bottom, which will hide part of your beautiful wooden door, adding more visual clutter and breaking up the clean lines as well. My opinion is to get a storm door with as little trim as possible, perhaps the full view ProVia 397. Either black to match the shutters, or white to match the door trim. You know what IS bugging me? The white downspouts on either side of the front porch! They're sticking out like a sore thumb and taking away from your entrance - can you paint them a darker color?

I would keep the storm door neutral . Is the Tudor brown even close to the wood door color? Black would work too. I like the suggestion to paint the two down spouts, maybe the gable tan/taupe color.

To build on kmkane's gutter comment you could relocate the downspout to the corner or eliminate them altogether by pitching the gutters alongside the entry back so they will discharge at the corner of the house.

I suggest white for storm door color.

Thanks all - agreed that the downspouts don't look great. We are planning on redoing the front patio and walkway completely in a year or so to widen it a bit and get rid of the poured concrete. We will likely move - or remove - the downspouts then. The storm door is something we need to do in the interim out of a more practical need - as it's 10 degrees and gusting outside (!) - but we still want it to match the house (we don't plan on messing with the shutter color, though).

As for the door, thanks for the suggestion with the bottom panel. We were thinking that a retractable screen might be nice, but we could also open windows if we need some fresh air, so the 297 is a good idea.

For color, any arguments for black v white v neutral? I can try to get a sample of the tudor brown, but worry that it might be a bit too dark for the wood.
