Need help with Master bedroom

Good morning,
I would like to make our bedroom warmer, more inviting. I really like our furniture but lack of decor in the rest of the bedroom does not bring it together as a nice relaxing place. Would you recommend moving furniture a different way? There is a fireplace right across of the bed and I have put a screen in front of it as it acts as a mirror otherwise. Feels uncomfortable being able to see reflection. Decor recommendations? As you can see from pictures, we are missing some drapes, have nothing on walls right now and duvet cover is old. We like warm colors and tones. Thank you for your help!

I agree with the addition of an accent color but would also suggest a large area rug in a natural wool which will instantly cozy things up. Both Pottery Barn and West Elm have some really affordable options. Would it be possible to place your bed against the wall with two windows (on the left in your first photo)? If there is enough room and it doesn't block your entrance to the bedroom you could also place an upholstered bench at the end of the bed, remove the screen covering the fireplace and use the fireplace to advantage. You would also gain the view in the large windows at the other end of the room.

How about an accent wall with something like a grayish green or a fern green. Both colors are very warm and soothing.

You need some pictures or artwork of some sort on all the blank walls to help warm it up. Find something that has some bright colors, and is something you really like. If it's a picure or photo, have it framed in a wood frame with a colored matt.

I agree about the need for a rug. Choose something that makes you happy, and that you'll enjoy seeing every morning when you wake up.

I think the room is missing some symmetry. Is the fireplace in use? If not, and it doesn't go against safety regulations, why don't you move the tall chest of drawers in front of the fireplace to cover it up?

If you can't cover the fireplace, you coud make a screen out of fire-resistant materials and attach it to the flashy frame with magnets. Use rare-earth magnets for secure but reversible mounting.

Move the armchair in the corner near the window to create a well-lit reading area, and maybe add a low side table here. Move the other side table between the windows on the left hand side.

Add a large indoor plant to the corner formerly occupied by the side table. With a little research, you might find one which improves the air quality in your bedroom.

In terms of colors, I would first invest in a beautiful textile, like a rug or a nice bed cover. Then let it's color and pattern inspire your choice of pillows and maybe an accent wall color. I would imagine that a warm color on the side of the fireplace will make the room feel cosy.

Paint would make the difference you need. An accent wall with a nice complementing color. Replacing the fireplace screen with a non reflective cover so you can take advantage of the fireplace and what it brings to the room. Placing some sort of art on the walls is always great or floating shelves with some decor(candles,vases, etc.). Good luck.

The large window brings so much light into the bedroom. An accent wall or ceiling with the Dunes Vertical 2'x2' glue-up ceiling tile in Copper Fantasy could do the trick!

Thank you very much for all your comments. Very much appreciated! You gave me some great ideas! For the windows, should I go with warm color drapes and keep a lighter duvet cover (with color pillows) or should I go white/off white for drapes and pattern/color duvet cover? What do you think?

pharod60, I like your suggestion and can see how amazing it would make this room with the view of the outdoors but the space between the windows is a little small and the door is right where I am taking the 1st photo from so from the bed, we would see down the hallway. Would love to be able to put the bed that way though if the door was not right there...
