Tubular skylights in a kitchen??

We want to put 2 10" tubular skylights in. The distance is approx. 12 ft. from the kitchen ceiling and the roof. Do you think we would get good light?

    I have two sun tubes in one of my bathrooms. When i first bought the house I had never heard of them. I spent five minutes trying to "turn the light out" on my first walkthrough. The tubes I have seem to amplify the light a bit, so very good for light from mid morn to late afternoon.
