Benjamin Moore Paint In Austrilia? Can I match??

Hello all, Finally finished my plastering and looking to paint.

I have quite a good vibe with the Benjamin Moore fresh of breath air 806, but this paint is not sold down here sadly ! I am just a bit confused about the best way to go, would I be better of printing out the color and taking it to the paint shop? are the able to match it with the machine from a print??

Or should I just try to find a color as close as possible to the paint?

Why I am here, If I am attempting to make something pop as such in front of the Benjamin Moore 806, would I be better of choosing a darker color or going with something like a pearl white?

if you approach a quality local paint store, you can ask them if they could match the BM color. sometimes, they can call BM directly and get the actual color "ingredients", and make you this custom color.
view the BM website Color Gallery for some suggested contrasting colors. keep in mind how much of the colors you'll use in the room, as well as the other colors from furniture and flooring.

Thank you, I did go to one local smaller paint shop but was told it would be safer using a color they have in the charts, will try a larger store soon, still need to finish my plastering top coat!

I kind of feel like grabbing every color and just throwing it on my wall I always want to change colors D:

Yes, the bigger stores have computers to match the paint. Get a bit more than they tell you, as is harder to match custom colours. Take in your room measurements, deducting for windows and doors. Allow for 2coats, unless you're painting over a strong or dark colour, when you'll need a primer coat or three coats to cover it. Use a good brand like Dulux or Taubmans, etc. If your room is facing North, that blue may wash out in our sun, be aware.

I've used BM colours a number of times in my home here in Australia.
If you contact Dulux Australia directly (email/phone details are on their website) with the Ben Moore paint details they can look up the Dulux formulae for you. While my local dulux paint supplier wasn't able to help, Dulux Australia was.

Thanks guys, Wonderful to hear about Dulux! that sounds like the best way for me to go I guess.

My room sadly has a large window on the north face allowing the sun to come in most of the day and another window allows it to come in when setting, I maybe have to try a tester pot to be sure, I used to have a fiji blue which worked very well but I had 0 windows installed them. I guess if I am faced with issues in regards to sun light effecting visuals of the color I would just go with a deeper toned color to counter this?
