Thank you so much for the compliment. This was a really fun job for us. The mid-height trees along the left side are Donald Wyman Crabapples. The existing canopy trees in the back are a mix of White Oaks and White Pines. The shrubs on either side of the chimney are Boxwoods (the all green shrubs) and Quick Fire Hydrangea (the white flowering shrubs).

Hi, Can anyone tell me what the disadvantages of stepping stones in the garden are, I am thinking of saving my self quite a bit of money by choosing stepping stones and doing them myself over full paving for human traffic, what can the disadvantages of the stepping stone be? weather? anything?

The one drawback with stepping stones is maintenance, especially in the winter. They are definitely trickier to shovel snow off of than a solid path. But they are a great way to cover a lot of distance without incurring as much cost.
