Hi, migneault -- You are not doing anything wrong, and we are working on a fix for this. In the meantime, here's what you can do to see your new ideabooks: completely close the app (double tap the round button on the iPad, then tap and hold the Houzz app icon, and tap the "-" on the icon). When you reopen the app, your new ideabooks should appear in "My Houzz."

Thanks for the prompt response. It worked. Do I have to do this each time I save or create a new ideabook? Or should it now work as expected?

Yes, you'll need to do that for each new batch of ideabooks for now. We will get this fixed soon.
