Window Coverings

I have a new home with lots of windows, two are very large and west facing. I go back and forth between cellular blinds,(which I don't feel like I can add curtains too or valances) or white faux wood blinds that can be left alone or dressed up...thoughts? Suggestions?

I have a very similar situation, was always worried I would lose my ocean view with blinds but wooden venetians are the way to go!
