Actually, those are cut from the slabs of quartzite that we also used in the kitchen at this house. It had nice grey veining, so the look is almost identical to Carrara without the durability issues. I loved it -- I hope we're able to find it again for future projects!

Which quartzite?

It's a natural quartzite and I don't remember what the distributor called the variety. It probably wouldn't help you anyway though -- most distributors (in our market anyway) rename their stones to make it hard for you to comparison shop. I actually haven't seen anything just like it since we found these slabs. That's the trouble with natural stone, I guess -- it's hard to do the same thing twice. Good luck!
