I love your home! Here are some examples I found for possible non-white color schemes.

How about green with yellow shutters and leave the trim white. I love Vermont!!!

Your home seems to have some Greek Revival elements to it. here are two pictures of grander homes but the color schemes may still work. I particularly like the gray with white and black trim.

Exterior version of Benjamin Moore HC 102 Clarksville gray or HC 101 Hampshire gray with HC 100 Gloucester Sage shutters would look nice with the red roof and current warm white trim...

You might consider a pink to orange color ( Sherwin Willaims colors)

orange - autumnal # SW 6361

Try the "Creative Vision" exterior colors, by Behr, Body of house, either Kenya or Basketry, accent color Red Pepper, Accent Polished Leather. It will tone down the yellow, more earth colored and still go with what you have. I also add a porch on, when you can.

Love your house and colors. So you want a change. Maybe just a little change to more camel than yellow. The big change I see is a navy/bluish/charcoal. Perfect with lots of white trim and red roof. I would leave the door red but doing the shutters red is to much for me. I like shutters one step lighter or darker than the house color on the camel. On the navy ...white shutters

re:bennie's pictures. I would paint the body of the house the dark grey in bennie's picture, the trim white, the shutters red/rust (color of your roof) and front door black. A show stopper.

I also live in vermont. I think your house looks great the color it is, but if you want to change it I would definitely go somewhere in the cream direction. The red roof is very dictating so I would search for something that would compliment it.
