Hi there - can you please give some dimensions and pictures of all the walls? You will get much more helpful advice if the pros here can see the entire room. You can also do a little sketch on graph paper, photograph it, and post it -- that will get folks started.

I don't see the yellowing. But if there is yellowing, the cabinets can be repainted. The granite goes with white cabinets, so I think your issue is either the yellowing, or that you don't like these cabinets and want a different style.
This kitchen, in addition to the painting, would benefit from new, higher-end appliances; a slide-in range, and a counter-depth refrigerator. A new faucet would update the sink area beautifully.

The cabinets are thermofoil and the painter said they could not be painted. I will either re-face or replace. I will measure and draw it out next week. Still looking for ideas.

The more info the better, floor plan with measurements a must. If you are going to start making changes to layout I would just gut the space and start all over. trying to save bits and pieces never works , I find you usually spend more in the long run.

I agree with Lynn that it would be helpful to see all of the walls and dimensions. It is possible that relocating your appliances will give you more usable counterspace and a better functioning work flow, but it is hard to tell without the measurements. When doing a remodel, focus first on the functionality and then the finishes.
