Exact placement depends on the style of pull or knob you choose. But in general, looking at your pictures, install the handle at the bottom of your upper cabinet, as this will be easier to reach. On your base cabinet drawer fronts, I would put them in the center of the flat panel. The style and construction of your door/dwr fronts is called Frame and Panel. The vertical parts of your frame are the Stiles and the horizontal parts are the Rails. These act to keep the center panel, which many times is made of solid wood, from warping.
