What would be the best location for the stone patio for the rectangular shape 20x40 swimming pool? We are on Long Island NY. The challenge is that as much as we want to get most of the sun, we would like to minimize the patio footprint in our yard. Some say the best location for it is northeast or northwest.. The pool will be in northeast corner of our yard and it will stretch 40' from east to west and 20' from north to south. We are taking bids from contractors now, unfortunately no one was able to solve this challenge for us. We thought of a 12x26 patio area just enough to fit 3 to 4 chaises on it. The property is small (little over .5 acre) and the yard is open. Second challenge is to where and how we tuck the pool equipment around the yard.
