This house is brand new, so I don't want to mess this up. But the colors in the stone are just too yellow and tan for me. I'm done with tan. I want the stone to still look like stone, therefore I don't want to just paint it a thick coat of one tone white paint. Would whitewashing it make it whiter and yet appear to still be stone with different tones showing through? I'm also curious how it will affect the color of the grout compared to the color of the stone. Also, should I use the actual product whitewash made out of lime, or should I use paint diluted with water? The second photo is what I want it to look like.
