fire unit for covered deck

Desperately need to find a fire unit for our covered deck. I"m now thinking that a tabletop unit may work best. I"ve been looking at some bioethenol units. Has anyone used one or have any other ideas of something that can be used under a roof for a covered deck?

    You will need to consult your local fire codes to establish what is allowed under your "ceiling" height on your deck. The type of decking material will also come into play as to what is allowed and what isn't. Cement: everything is allowed. Cedar planks...charcoal BBQ's should NOT be used with this form of decking.

    Depending on your materials already in use, the decision might already have been made for you.

    If in doubt, call your local firehall and have them come out and tell you some stories about the some of their calls.
