3-seater and 2 chairs is usually the most flexible. If you want a sectional consider a loft/apt size bi-sectional whose chaise portion can reverse to right or left for maximum arranging possibilities.

I would go with a sofa and two chairs. I would also add an ottoman that could be used interchangeably with the three pieces.

Hey, you're welcome! I would add some color. Choose something you like. Are you into greens, blues, purples, oranges? Do a set of chairs with color and stay more neutral on the sofa, or visa versa. Bold sofa with neutral chairs. Yes, use a lamp! You could do a floor lamp, an end table or two with a lamp/s. I'd also be inclined to add a narrow (careful not to obstruct the walkway to the kitchen) console table beneath the television. It's much to large to hang on that wall alone. Floor to ceiling drapes around the larger window will do wonders for the space as well.

I will go for a sofa with 2 chairs ,the reason being when we have sectionals the look is achieved maybe but utility is not as people will not like to squish when they are seated,and we pull the chairs around to sit and talk .Long drapes and soft colors with bright pillows will brighten up and different looks can be created by changing cushions.

I'm having trouble deciding whether I want to do drapes and cellular shades on all the windows or just have cellular shades on the small windows and long drapes for the large window.... any suggestions?

Judging by these photos, it looks like long drapes on the larger window alone will do the trick.

I think long drapes on the longer window will look fine,if you feel you want shades on the smaller window make sure the colors blend so they dont stand out visually.

Can i get some tips on what type of console table under the tv would work?

oh wow. i like the furniture choices! the TV is on the wall and can't be moved now since it's secured to the wall and the cable wire are also there...i like the way that you turned the couch towards the island. i was originally going to put the couch on the wall with the two windows.

Well, anything can be moved; might not be easy, but it's possible. The problem as I see it is that's a really bad place for the TV. It's the logical place for the dining area and you have entrance to the kitchen right by the TV. You'll either run into the thing, or walk in front of someone watching it. Plus, who wants to settle down for their favorite show and find the best view is from a dining chair?

You could flip the dining and living areas, but it doesn't make much sense to put the dining away from the kitchen and have to cross the living area to get there.

If it were my space, I would forgo all other purchases till I moved the TV. MHO.

The console table below the TV should be ina black shade as your island too has black dominant,it is ok to have it below but the size does not look right,it has to be similar in terms of length and not longer as is the case now

If you are determined to keep the TV on that wall, don't use anything beneath it. A media console in that spot is a thigh bruise waiting to happen.

Thanks for all the advice. Unfortunately, the tv can't be moved at this time. I agree that anything is possible but the A/V closet is set up is making it very difficult. I agree that putting something there might obstruct the path way. Maybe something very shallow in depth? Those are temporary stick on shades right now. Anyone have ideas about roman shades vs cellular blinds vs Venetian?
