Your new stone work adds so much texture and interest to the front of your home. Simply lovely

Wonderful porch on the front! Adding a pergola above the garage door would visually divide the space and help make the transition from stucco to siding look like a design feature (without detracting from the other beautiful changes you have made.) :-)

I dislike the stone pillars on the porch, they are so out of character on this building.

I would have stopped the stone on the front pillars at the porch railing height or finished the cladding on the garage up to the trim. Really like the rear elevation.

This looks great. I want to replace some of our stucco with stone like you did on the front...did you remove the stucco or put the stone on top of it using thin cultured stone?

dclostboy the owners and I wanted to Highlight the Entry, to take away from the garage on the front Elevation, but i understand your opinions on the Stone.

bud_rogers that was cultured stone applied to existing prepared stucco on existing garage and to new masonry on front porch.

Thanks for the close up pict and response.. would that work with synthetic stucco or would it have to be removed?

siska13, I can appreciate you having a dislike to the stone but, to say it is out of character for the building? First of all ... The House added that stone look on many exterior components as well as being carried into the interior. So we think the Character is consistent but you have the right to comment that's why we post.
