Need Help for my new bathroom addition!!!

We're adding a bathroom, taking the space of one of the closets in our bedroom.
The whole area will be 5ft by 9.25ft. It's a small room. I'd love to add a cement tile flooring in the area outside the shower (5 by 6.25ft). I found a cement tile that I loved called "Isla" (

) but I am afraid the pattern will be too big for such a small area. I can't decide what to do and I'm running out of time!!
Isla tiles on the floor, white or medium color wood vanity, bronze fixtures, white subway tiles in the shower (34" X 48") possibly with a detail coordinating with one of the colors of the cement tile. Any thoughts??? Thank you in advance!

Not sure about the layout of your bathroom, but here some ideas...depending on the size of your beautiful tile.
    - have it run into the shower
    - have an accent wall
    - run the tile up one wall from the floor
    - make it more like a rug pattern
One suggestion is to paint your ceiling a colour out of the tile to tie everything in.
    Good luck!

Who says small spaces have to be boring? I love your tile and your plan -- go for it.

Really like your idea! Just as you said .. white vanity ... picking upon the the turquoise or yellow in accents. I think having a large scale pattern on the floor will look great!

I don't think pattern will overwhelm the space...do what you want and enjoy.

I like it. Don't be afraid of size. Take the blue for wall color, yes use a combo,of yellow and blue in a long glass tile as a small border in shower.

LOVE it!! I agree...don't be afraid of size. One of the best design tricks it to create interest and drama in a small space with oversized patterns. Love the idea of a white subway tile also...but consider using a dark grout. I've never seen it done like that before, but after seeing this photo on Houzz...I am smitten with the look and I think it will look awesome with your tile choice.

Do they have a solid yellow or blue to match? This way you could pull the circles apart a little or make a square with a solid/calmer border. If not, just go for it ;)

Love it. Get a hanging vanity unit or one on legs, so you have the largest floorspace, tiles visible, possible.

    Hi terines,

We are thinking about turning one side of our large master into a bathroom. Can I ask what's the cost for your bathroom addition? Thanks much!

Thank you all for your wonderful comments and suggestions! I wound up not using the cement tiles. I really needed to see and "touch" everything I chose so I wound up going with a ceramic tile resembling reclaimed wood, light blue on walls, white subway tiles with a line of glass greenish/blueish/brownish tiles in the shower box, a very basic but clean vanity and a gorgeous (in my opinion) shower door :) Fawnyang - the total cost was about US$12K. The only splurges were really the shower door and the decorative tiles in the shower box. It's a small but good size bathroom. I tried taking pics but I can't really find an angle that works :) Hope it helps
