Hi.
My house is modular. Not a mobile home, but rather four boxes 8 foot tall and 13 foot across inside, and 25 feet long, and a roof/attic with folding rafters all built elsewhere, then put over a masonry basement here to make a house. I would love to have a taller ceiling somehow in the dining room, even if just over the table, and there is a lot of space between the ceiling and subfloor above. Does anyone know what might be in there? How is it different from the normal drywall ceiling, joists, and subfloor? I'm having no luck looking this up because I keep getting mobile home stuff. Thanks!
