Pics taken minutes apart, but the lighting looks different. Is that the reflection already?

I think the first picture looks great! I would recommend adding a few candle holders with warmer tones.

I like them both. I have a one very similar to your second mirror. But, I really really like your DIY one. It looks more interesting but they both look good to me.

I like your DIY one, but don't care for the way the mirror doubles the stair spindles.

@Darzy, the hand made one has a flaw in it. So it bugs me every time I look at it. It also underwent three color changes to show up against that wall. I might put it in my bedroom.

@decoenthusiaste - I had to go back to the original pictures to see what you meant. There are double spindles because this is a second-story catwalk that runs across the room. The first picture didn't catch it because it was a cheapie two dollar mirror from Michael's. Thanks.

Can you fix the flaw? I cannot even begin to guess what it is, but I like how the DIY makes a statement in your room that is special and unique.

I vote for the hand-crafted artwork. Yours has a such character! (Isn't there an Asian design that embraces the object--irregularities and all? Sorry, can't think of the word. Now, be nice.)

I like the first one best.....but you love the second one and the first one bothers you when you look at it, so go with the one that you like. ( does the lower left side only have 2 projections instead of 3?)

I like the first one too. Go with what you like. You could always spray paint your mirror a richer color, maybe black to make it pop against the wall.

Really like the texture of the 1st one .. 2nd one is okay, but doesn't have the character of the 1st one.

Though your zeal towards creativity is getting reflected in the first picture but i would go with second one, as it looks shiny & exceptionally well made, but never ignore the creativity you have inside yourself.

I would definitely go with the hand crafted one, great job! It adds so much more than the one you found in the store. I almost want to flip that frame around it long ways though. From this angle it seems the burst looks small against the wall. Flipping would add height and take away the empty space.

@Alyssa Silva - the frame is permanently attached to the wall. Since the whole room is faux-finished and I'm not planning a change any time soon, that is something I don't want to touch. There are also 10' windows on either side of the fireplace.
