Did you spray the ceiling a dark brown?

I like the infinity look of the dark color. It would work on an 8' ceiling also.

We actually used a low sheen black. We used open wood braced floor joists for the floor above to give it a commercial look. One key: we had a tile surface above so used a sound insulating membrane under the main level floor covering. This was a 9' ceiling.

Did you use a black tinted primer with an airless sprayer? What brand of paint?

What type of sound insulating membrane did you use? Then I suppose you painted over it?

The membrane was installed underneath the tile on the floor above. I do not recall the specifications.
