What would you do with this kitchen space & sitting room?

It's pretty much 50/50 on the wallpaper. Some love it, some hate it. I find it too harsh and shocking for such a soft room. We're not looking to change the cabinets this year so our design dilemma is more colour & decor ideas. Such a unique space, so much potential. We haven't yet moved in so these are the current owners furnishings.

I agree with you about the wallpaper. I would go with a softer accent color - apple green, or a blue or a red as a solid for the wall color for the dinette and as accents in the kitchen itself.

If u want to work with it and your furnishings make sense with it than a way of toning down the busy pattern is by laying something large on top of it - large frame mirror, dramatic large photo, etc. If not, then wallpaper over that sucker and say "welcome home" to one you love
