Help me decorate my living room please

I just painted my walls and fireplace. Walls are shaker beige amd trim is white dove (benjamin Moore). I need help with decorating my fireplace and wall behind couch. Also rug and curtain ideas. I'd like to go with blues. I would love help with the names of specific products you might recommend. Someday ill replace the couch with a lighter color. Just can't do that now too. Thanks.

Your built in looks like it has good bones! If you can put your tv on a swing arm above the fireplace, I would recommend that. Otherwise, I would recommend vases, picture frames, etc with blue accents. I think the sofa works fine maybe freshen up with a few pillows and and a throw. Think you could beef up your lamps and add some blue in the shade. Or paint your end tables a nice blue. When you are up for it, I would hang at least 2 maybe 3 pieces of art over the sofa. Hope that at least gets you started!

Tv should be above the fireplace. Sofa should face the TV. Add a blue console table behind the sofa and Nave drapes to ground windows and give the room some contrast.

again, this is great fun, since personally i have the same issues and WAY too much squeezed into a room, love every single piece, too.

anyway, the colors are nice - the room looks very narrow. agree the TV takes away from the fireplace where it is. and the couch against the wall could be moved, angled, something. not very good suggestions but was raised with no TV in the living room, but have seen TVs mounted on the wall, but it's the same shape more or less as the fireplace. maybe another area where you wouldn't get a glare? then the fireplace could be a focal point??

You should hang a painting above the fireplace. Also, put a glass coffee table. You should put a vase of flowers on the table. I hope this helps!
