Have a Murphy bed area still under construction (custom) and have been thinking about what to do with large headboard/backboard area. Will definitely want some kind of simple upholstered headboard. But since this bed will be put away most of the time, was thinking about using cedar closet planks as natural bug repellent above the upholstered headboard area. Love the smell of cedar and its look, but sometimes the smell can be overwhelming, like stepping into great granny's farmhouse. Don't want guests to have a bad experience. House is modern in design, but uses a lot of natural woods, like Doug fir and hemlock here in Pacific NW. Floors are stained concrete. Thoughts?
