The dark chocolate would make you're sofa pop

Benjamin Moore paints (historical collection) ...lenox tan that goes very well with black accents. Your picture behind the sofa is really pretty. I would add a large black tray to your coffee table.

Trying to decide on either painting the whole room the cork brown in the photo of the dining room w/shag rug or trying the deep grey behinds the sofa. I have a comment to paint only behind the sofa and not around the sliders? W

Painted behind the sofa SW Smokehouse. It has grey undertones. Tonight it looks grey and that is not what I was looking for. During the day it is a brown. Here are the photos along with a picture of a sofa like mine but in white. I brought the photo to a designer at the furniture store who helped me choose the paint color

All feedback is welcome! I got an inexpensive larger rug with just about all colors in it. I wanted to bring in some color.
I know I am all over the place as far as colors but I saw this in the mall this weekend and loved it. If my husband does not kill me it just may be something to consider for my wall. Does any one think it would go with my SW Khaki Shade

There's too much beige. You can really paint any color on the wall, just not white or beige. Try a deep blue.

No Annette, It war not as warm. I took the photo to a designer at a furniture store and she chose the color and I agreed. Cant wit till tomorrow to see it in daylights again. my photos were taken at night so it looks more grey

I like the wall color with the grey undertones better than the deep blue with the rest of the khaki walls. Also, I would remove the blue throw.

Don't know if teal is still in the running but I've used Behr's Teal Forest in my daughter's home. She has light cream furniture. It was lovely.

Ooh. I'm eager to see what you do. I'm a novice and feel so inadequate compared to the experts here. Soaking in all the knowledge myself. I would say the one big thing is contrast. Light furniture with darker walls and visa versa. It also doesn't have to break the bank, be creative.

I do like your rug but to me doesn't provide enuf umphh. I think it depends on what wall color you are going with. Having the majority of the rug's background being light like your couch drowns everything out. I think it also needs to be larger where it's under the feet of your couch. Then take out colors from the rug into pillows and art or whatever you use on the wall. I think you could have more pizazz with some different lamps. The don't have to match but something heavier, maybe more colorful, and something with a different shape of shade, perhaps drum? What r u thinking?

Here are some indoor/outdoor rugs from costco, yes costco, that are reasonable. Check out their rugs. Of course there are rugs everywhere, Home Goods, etc. Hard to tell what will work as colors differ onscreen vs in person, but here's a sampling

Sorry to inundate you but here's Pier One's site for lamps. There are lots of good ones. For through them to see if anything speaks to you. Some cream ones will work with a dark wall behind.

I like the color that turns to gray at night. Need very exciting pillows and perhaps an oriental style rug

Really liked the recent color. If you don't get a dark color like that perhaps more of a chocolate brown. Check out BMW Alexandria beige.
